Arrest Rages (per 1,000) Ages 10-17 Violent Crime

The arrest rate for violent crime among youth ages 10-17 in Pierce County had fallen steadily since 1995, when the arrest rate for violent crime among youth ages 10-17 was 3.81 per 1,000, falling to a low point in 2006, when the rate had dropped to 2.32 per 1,000  but has risen to 2.86 per 1,000 in 2009. 

Pierce County's arrest rate for violent crimes among youth ages 10-17 has remained above the rates of the state and of counties like ours, with the exception of 2001, when the arrest rate per 1,000 dipped to 2.50.
