Economy

We measure the health of our economy by looking at employment, income and poverty and keep an eye on how those things affect children and how they are reflected across different demographics.  The wellness of a community is tied to the strength of the economy.

Are we in trouble financially?  How much money do we make?  Are the poorest among us able to make ends meet?  How much do the Top 5 percent earn?  What about consumer activity?

The Community Indicators that relate to the economy give us some insight into these questions and help us compare how we are doing in Pierce County compared to other counties in Washington.
