United Way of Pierce County only gathers personally identifiable data: addresses, zip codes, e-mail addresses, etc. when voluntarily submitted by a visitor. For example, personally identifiable information may be collected in order to record a stated desire to donate online to United Way of Pierce County via a direct gift or though a company sponsored campaign. This information is used solely by United Way of Pierce County or other parties to the transaction for the purpose of executing the transaction. We may request personal information from you in order to respond to your questions, to deliver a product or requested materials to you, or to administer contests and notify winners. If you provide personal information to us, we will not sell, license or transmit this information to third parties without your consent, unless disclosure is required by law. In some circumstances, we may disclose this personal information to our contractors or agents to allow them to perform certain functions for us, such as shipping products ordered from our Web site.
